On the edge of the Asbroekerheide nature reserve near Heythuysen, you'll find two sustainably built lodges: De Stilte and De Adem. No holiday park, no reception, no rows of holiday homes. Just two peaceful retreats tucked away in the greenery, built from sustainable wood and bio-based materials, with a calm yet stylish Scandinavian design. Large windows bring the landscape indoors. Wake up with the heathland on your doorstep and fall asleep beneath a starry sky you may have forgotten existed in the city.
Eco by Nature was born from a simple belief: you don't need to fly far away to truly get away from it all. Close to home, yet far from everyday life. No need to fly, just reconnect with the earth. All the space you need to slow down
The first night, you settle in. It's during the following nights that you truly begin to unwind. That's why everything here is designed to help you slow down. A sauna powered by solar energy. An outdoor shower surrounded by round robinia wooden posts, with nothing but the sky above you. A fire pit where evenings naturally last longer and conversations grow deeper. An outdoor terrace for barbecues and meals made with whatever the region has to offer that day. Each lodge has a phone box: put your phone away and notice how much space it leaves in your mind. Need to get some work done? There's fast Wi-Fi too. The choice is yours.
Two lodges, De Stilte & De Adem
De Stilte is ideal for two: a place to escape together, with a partially covered 35 m² terrace where you can listen to the rain without getting wet. De Adem offers space for families and friends, accommodating up to four adults and six people in total (with travel cots), gathered around a large dining table where memories are made. Both lodges have their own kitchen, a walk-in shower and Auping beds with sustainable Yumeko bedding. Because true relaxation begins with a good night's sleep.
Nature starts right outside your door
Step outside your lodge and you're straight onto the Asbroekerheide. The Leudal nature area is just a bike ride away, along with woodland cafés, an Italian restaurant in the village and local farmers selling milk, eggs and fresh soft-serve ice cream. Midden-Limburg at its most natural: green, welcoming and unhurried.
Eco by Nature is neither a holiday cottage nor a hotel. It's a home away from home in nature. A place where you don't have to do anything, but you're free to do as you please. Where children play outdoors again and adults rediscover the art of sitting still. Where you leave with less on your mind and more in your heart.
